Improve Column Setups
Make it easier to create and modify column setups:
- Drag & Drop fields to add/remove headings
- make preview with some sample data appear in the same space
Over recent releases we have been implementing improvements to handling of column setups and how these are managed within the various list views – row height and width etc.
We will continue to introduce UI and UX improvements going forward to make the solution even easier to work with.

We have already started to design a new interface for creating column setup. It won't be available in the upcoming 2017 release. We are planning to include it in 2017 R2 release.

The need to go into a Column Setup screen at all could be removed if there was a pop-in side-bar "field chooser" within the list-view screen and you could then drag-drop field from here into the active Column View, then choose Save or Save As to store it. If you click out of it, prompt if unsaved (like Dashboards). The concept would be very close to how Outlook handles List Views.
There would still need to a Column Properties screen to adjust Full Access/Read Access/Creator.

Please Make it possible to include more columns in the Key fields window, and please make it possible to expand the Key Fields display or even make it a little bigger!
Thanks

The Max column setups is vintage, not to say ancient. Please make it drag and drop, at least!
Thank you. -

Auto column width adjustment is a real necessity. It is not a user friendly experience to have to go in and adjust widths individually and very time consuming.

Make row height "stick" in multi-row column setups in Web Access. At the moment the columns revert to single row display whenever re-opened

Almost every time I teach column set-ups the users expect that there will be some sort of 'auto-width' setting feature similar to that in Excel. Either as a feature in set-up or when on screen in use. Some enhancements here would be apreciated by users.

One of our clients requested the ability to right click on a column from the Address Book and select "remove" to dynamically amend a Column Setup without having to go into the (long winded) Properties.

To elaborate on the preview screen, yes do it. In the bottom section of the screen where all the files are listed for a selected contact above, when a file is selected, there should be a preview of the document to the right like there used to be in older versions.
