Thank you for the suggestion. We have heard similar requests that link Key Fields with opportunity stages.

    Hi Chad:

Thank you for reporting this issue. The function hasn’t been discontinued. It is still in the product. You can type and find the matching entries in the list. The issue is that now you need to click the column header to sort the column first. After that, the type ahead will work. We are looking into fixing this issue now. The other way that may help you is to use the Quick Search field in the header bar. It allows you to quickly find the entries even they are not in your current
    list.

Could you please provide more detailed use cases and examples. Basic UDF inheritance can be complicated and confusing for new entries or for those that are left blank on purpose etc.

    Hi Kelsey:

I was wondering why you would like to copy "Customer Number" to every contact. Is it because you need to use this number to search contacts or need to merge it into emails when sending emails to contacts? Thank you

Thank you for the suggestions. There are three requests in the thread. I have included the use case for each request. Please review if the description is correct or not.

    1. Allow merging company level fields into a document or an email that merges on contacts
    Use case:
When I merge a document on contacts, I would like to merge the company level fields (e.g. Account Manager) into the document.

    2. Automatically populate the contact level UDF when the company level field has been updated
    Use case:
When a company level UDF has been updated (e.g. a new item has been added into a table field), I would like the new item to be selected in all contacts automatically so I don’t need to open each contact and select the new item.

    3. The old Windows Access function – When creating a new contact for a company, provide an option to copy the field values from parent company to the contact. The option is per company base. It only applies to the company where the option has been turned on.

I was wondering if I can clarify the use cases for this feature.
    Use case 1:
When creating a new contact, you would like to copy the value from the parent company to the contact so you can easily edit the values in the contact. (E.g. copy the values from the parent company and uncheck a few items that don’t apply to the contact)

    Use case 2:
Because the company level fields cannot be displayed in a Key Field list for contacts, I would like to copy the values from the company level fields to contact fields. So I can see the company information when viewing the Key Fields for contacts.

Which use case are you looking for?

    Thanks

The support of long and short date format will be available in the upcoming Maximizer CRM 2020 R2 release. The release will be available to CRM Live customers in mid-October.

    Hi Jon:

Setting up default note and default document for other users is not supported yet. We will consider this in future release.

We will investigate the issue about the second issue.

    Thanks

Thank you for your feedback. Since we introduced the Leads module, we have been improving the functions in this module. We have added the support of user-defined fields, customizable Industry and Lead Source fields, custom lead qualification process etc. You can also create column view to display basic fields and user-defined fields. This will help you to identify which leads you should follow up.

For notes and documents, you should be able to create notes and insert document into a lead. You can also save emails to leads from Outlook add-in.

Regarding to create a lead for an existing contact, this is an interesting idea. We have some design ideas already.

For transferring documents and notes from leads to opportunities, we have received the same request from other users. We are currently evaluating the request.

We will place the cursor into the first field in the dialog automatically. For now, you can press Tab key to place the cursor into the first field.

Thank you for your suggestion. We have started to address the keyboard access issue. In the previous releases, we have introduced keyboard shortcuts to go to modules. You can use keyboard shortcuts to save or cancel in dialogs. In the upcoming 2020 release, you can use keys to access UI element in header bar. We will continue putting efforts to support more keyboard shortcuts in future release. Your suggestions will be considered. Thanks

Can you elaborate on this? Which system fields for leads that cannot be added into the column view?

We have started to consider hiding the objects that are not needed anymore. For example, if you have a process that you don't use anymore, you can hide it. This way the users won't see it in UI but you still have the historic data for reporting.

Currently, global editing or import "opt-in email type" is not supported in the product. It is in our backlog for considering.

This is an interesting idea. Instead of including UDF in description, how about allowing the admin user to specify some UDFs in appointment dialog. For example, in the appointment dialog, you add Last Review Date, Next Review Date and some other fields you can check off. After you finish the meeting, you can set the Last Review Date to today's date, and set the Next Review Date to a date 3 month later. You can also check off what you have discussed with client. This way, you don't need to go back to the Address Book entry to update those data after completing a meeting.

For the opportunity and case widgets, would you like to see the details of the opportunities / cases like the following tabs or summary information such as total opportunities, how many of them are won or in progress, total revenue etc.

The widget for showing or adding documents will be available in next release. Editing key fields will come later. Currently, we have multiple places to show notes and documents, including Notes and Documents following tab, History tab and Notes and Documents widget. Which place would you prefer to view and work with notes and documents? Would you prefer separate them like Notes and Documents widget or a single place like History where you can see everything?

Outlook integration supporting saving emails to leads has been implemented in Maximizer CRM 2019 R2 release. You can also create a new lead based on an Outlook email. R2 release is only available to CRM Live customers. On premise customers will get these functions in R3 release which will come sprint 2019.
