Improve "Delete" option in Opportunities
In order to remove an Opportunity one must go to Edit and then Delete. When the Delete option is selected there is a Pop-up that says that deleting will cause all of the information to be deleted. It needs to be modified to state that if it is an Opportunity that you are deleting that the information for the Contact will not be deleted. It is very confusing the way it is now.

mandatory fields - Opportunity Stage
The Stage field is missing as a value to include in conditional mandatory fields.
Having other User Defined Fields based on what Stage an Opportunity is at really makes logical sense, so as something progresses and a user moves the opportunity along we want to collect different information e.g. Stage = Quote THEN UDF Quote Number & Quote Sent Date become mandatory. Is there any way this can be introduced as a field to select from, has been requested a few times from our user base across different business types. Thanks6 votes -

multi-currency
Majority of our sales are in the US/CANADA/EUROPE and it would be nice to be able to set different currencies in the Opportunities instead of only have the option to do 1

Allow opportunity notification based on address book fields
We have a scenario where a client wants to monitor certain companies and be notified when an opportunity is created on these companies, but not other companies. The company list is in the dozens so we ideally would setup the criteria based on some address book UDFs or basic fields as well as some opportunit fields.

opportunity column view shows company phone not contact phone number
Column View only shows Company Phone numbers, not Contacts numbers. When selecting a opportunity you cannot view the contacts phone/cell number in the Main Opportunity window as it only pulls up the company numbers.

Filter Audit Users from Sales Team UI
Currently, the "Team Leader" will show a list of all members of the Sales Team, even those that are limited to "audit" permissions.
In many cases, users from other departments need to be granted access to the Opportunities functionality, but they are not "active" members of the Team and should therefore not be listed in any of the various drop-downs in the UI.
I believe the existing "audit" role can be used to accomplish this limitation without requiring significant reprogramming of functionality.
This would go a long way towards keeping the UI as clutter-free as possible.

Sales Team Enabled Flag
With each change in sales leadership in an organization comes a change in Sales Team makeup and distribution. Currently, there is no way to "retire" a Sales Team to preserve it for historical purposes without it continuing to clutter the various drop-downs in the UI.
There needs to be some capability to "retire" a team so that it can no longer be assigned to new Opportunities while still allowing it to be available for historical searching / reporting purposes.

Decouple Lead Owner field management from Sales Manager role
Currently, the ability to change the "Owner" field in the Lead module is tied to the "Sales Manager" role. However, there are many cases where a rep might have the authorization to route Leads to other users, but they should not have the ability to change the Account Manager field on an Address Book record.
The ability to change the Lead Owner field should be handled as a separate role and not tied into the existing "Sales Manager" role.

Saving notes
It would be really great if the Save button for inputing notes and other data could be on the right side of the dialogue.
Where it is now is inconvenient as the cancel button is where the save button typically is.

Opportunity Description - Character field is 500
IDEA - Opportunity Description - Make Character field limit bigger than 500.
Our staff members enter a lot of information to this data field but have to shorter our descriptions or continue the description under the notes tabs. It would be great if the character limit was more than 500 as our staff / users would be able to gain all the information they require under the Opportunities tab (especially if using the mobile site and on site with a client). The complaint from our staff is they don't like going between the notes tab and opportunities tab for sales…

Leads Notes to be visible in Opportunity Module when converted to opoortunity
When I convert a lead to an opportunity it would be helpful to see the notes from when I worked with that prospect before they were converted into an opportunity

View Opportunity status in the Addressbook View
When in the Address Book View need to Be able to view who has current Opportunities (need to be able to add the udf of opportunity status in the address book view)

Possibility to change Partner in opportunity.
Now and then we have opportunities where we need to change Partner. Doing so all relevant information such as documents etc. follow the opportunity which is very usefull.

Make the new Quotes feature available from Mobile Access
Most smartphones can now have Excel on them so is it feasible please to be able to utilise the new Quotes feature in Maxmobileaccess?

Global Edit to Update Campaign on Opportunities
When you are working with Global Edit feature in Opportunities you cannot set the Campaign value, the old version (legacy) has this feature.

Address book entry details tab for opportunities
When viewing a hotlist task there is an 'Address Book entry Details' tab.
Having the same tab when viewing an opportunity would avoid having to switch between modules.

Prevent opportunities from being saved with no process set
Right now (in CRM Live) if there are multiple sales processes defined you can open an opportunity, set or leave the process field to blank, and save the opportunity. This results in an opp with no process or stage set.
For clients where opps are created via the API, they are ALL coming in without process (because processes/stages can't be set via api) so it's messing with their reporting.

quick search
The Web Quick Search is excellent for Address Book entries.
But it is almost useless for Opportunities and Customer Service Cases as it doesn't allow you to search by Company or Contact Name.13 votes -
Exporting Opportunities with Last Added Note
When exporting 'In Progress' opportunities would be good to export the most recent note added under each opportunity into excel so when creating sales reports we can see what we have outstanding and when we last spoke to client to see progress of jobs. Not all users will update information into the comments section of an opportunity, most of them will add a note under each one.
Exporting notes to Excel will always be helpful!3 votes
