Could you please provide more detailed use cases and examples. Basic UDF inheritance can be complicated and confusing for new entries or for those that are left blank on purpose etc.

    Hi Kelsey:

I was wondering why you would like to copy "Customer Number" to every contact. Is it because you need to use this number to search contacts or need to merge it into emails when sending emails to contacts? Thank you

Thank you for the suggestions. There are three requests in the thread. I have included the use case for each request. Please review if the description is correct or not.

    1. Allow merging company level fields into a document or an email that merges on contacts
    Use case:
When I merge a document on contacts, I would like to merge the company level fields (e.g. Account Manager) into the document.

    2. Automatically populate the contact level UDF when the company level field has been updated
    Use case:
When a company level UDF has been updated (e.g. a new item has been added into a table field), I would like the new item to be selected in all contacts automatically so I don’t need to open each contact and select the new item.

    3. The old Windows Access function – When creating a new contact for a company, provide an option to copy the field values from parent company to the contact. The option is per company base. It only applies to the company where the option has been turned on.

I was wondering if I can clarify the use cases for this feature.
    Use case 1:
When creating a new contact, you would like to copy the value from the parent company to the contact so you can easily edit the values in the contact. (E.g. copy the values from the parent company and uncheck a few items that don’t apply to the contact)

    Use case 2:
Because the company level fields cannot be displayed in a Key Field list for contacts, I would like to copy the values from the company level fields to contact fields. So I can see the company information when viewing the Key Fields for contacts.

Which use case are you looking for?

    Thanks

We will add important missing functionalities from Windows to Web access in the nearest releases. This feature is in the Roadmap and should be implemented in one of the upcoming releases.

    Hi Jon:

Setting up default note and default document for other users is not supported yet. We will consider this in future release.

We will investigate the issue about the second issue.

    Thanks

Thank you for your feedback. Since we introduced the Leads module, we have been improving the functions in this module. We have added the support of user-defined fields, customizable Industry and Lead Source fields, custom lead qualification process etc. You can also create column view to display basic fields and user-defined fields. This will help you to identify which leads you should follow up.

For notes and documents, you should be able to create notes and insert document into a lead. You can also save emails to leads from Outlook add-in.

Regarding to create a lead for an existing contact, this is an interesting idea. We have some design ideas already.

For transferring documents and notes from leads to opportunities, we have received the same request from other users. We are currently evaluating the request.

I was wondering what version of Maximizer you are running. This is already possible in CRM Live where you have option to turn off Archived from the filter. In the upcoming 2020 R1 release, you will be able to do this in on premise.

We will place the cursor into the first field in the dialog automatically. For now, you can press Tab key to place the cursor into the first field.

Thank you for your suggestion. We have started to address the keyboard access issue. In the previous releases, we have introduced keyboard shortcuts to go to modules. You can use keyboard shortcuts to save or cancel in dialogs. In the upcoming 2020 release, you can use keys to access UI element in header bar. We will continue putting efforts to support more keyboard shortcuts in future release. Your suggestions will be considered. Thanks

Can you elaborate on this? Which system fields for leads that cannot be added into the column view?

This is already possible in the Notification panel. Press the arrow to expand the head of the Alarms section. You will see the buttons for Complete All and Snooze All.

User-defined fields for leads are supported in 2019 R5 release which is now available in Maximizer CRM Live. The fields for leads can be shared with Address Book entries to ensure the values will be copied from leads to Address Book entries during conversion. The values in leads cannot be copied to opportunities in R5 release. We will continue making improvement in the future releases.

We are currently designing the workflow for supporting UDF for leads. One of our ideas is to share the UDF for leads across the modules. This will make it easy to transfer data to Address Book entries and opportunities during conversion.

Hi, we already have this on our road-map to implement. This is a high priority item for us.

The limitation has been increased to 9216 characters in 2019 R5 release. This improvement is now available in Maximizer CRM Live. If you are running Maximizer CRM on premise version, the improvement will be available in next release which has been scheduled in sprint 2020.

How about we follow the full access and read access in Default Note and Default Document? This way, even you don't open the dialog when saving emails, the securities will be set.

With the release of Maximizer CRM v2017 in October ’16 we introduced a featured call “Last Contact Date”, which essentially keeps track of the number of days since an address book entry was contacted. The definition of contacted can be customized to include phone call, email, note entry, calendar, etc.

For the recurring task requirement, we will review that for upcoming improvements to our Hotlist module.

Thank you for keep pushing for this feature. It is in our roadmap for consideration. There are some other feature requests related to tasks such as assign more than one user to a task. We need to consider all the requests and design the backend before we can work on the UI to support this feature.

We have started to consider hiding the objects that are not needed anymore. For example, if you have a process that you don't use anymore, you can hide it. This way the users won't see it in UI but you still have the historic data for reporting.

Currently, global editing or import "opt-in email type" is not supported in the product. It is in our backlog for considering.
