    The suggestion is now 3 years old and has more than 200 votes…
    Thanks to still voting but I think we must face the facts, Maximizer won't implement this feature.

    Therefore…

    Here’s a workaround to display a message forcing your user to enter coherent values for 2 fields.

    We have 2 Table UDF we want to link.
    Field X:
    - A
    - B
    - C
    Field Y:
    - A1
    - A2
    - B1
    - B2
    - C1
    - C2

    1. Create a third “Table” UDF and name it “ERROR: X and Y must match”
    2. DO NOT add any value for this field
    3. Check “Mandatory based on rule” and add the formula below:
    Mid([Field X], 1, 1) != Mid([Field Y], 1, 1)

    The user won’t be able to save a record if the first letters are different for X and Y because the “ERROR:…” field will become mandatory and will appear in the Key Fields.

    The field is mandatory but they cannot fill it because the table is empty ! The only solution is to resolve the problem of mismatch for X and Y.

    Use case : We want to classify customers based on their activity segment. We have 2 fields "Sector" and "Sub-sector". Example:
    Sector :
    - A-Medical
    - B-Energy
    - C-Military
    - D-....

    Sub-sector :
    - A1-Imaging systems
    - A2-Patient Monitoring system
    - A3-Lab equipment
    - A4-...
    - B1-Nuclear power
    - B2-Solar power
    - B3-Wind power
    - B4-...
    - C1-Satellite communication system
    - C2-...

    The 2 fields need to be multi-selection.

    Hi Jin Yu,
    It can be a very powerful tool if you managed to filter values based on multiple selection !
    It means that if you select A and B on field 1, field 2 will display A1, A2, A3, B1, B2 and B3. And this second field can also be multi-selection.
    I'm sure you will find a user-friendly design for the setup page.

    The Custom Tab is useful. And once available, the possibility to search for contacts based on a company field will be very useful !
    But this suggestion is a little bit different and the "Partner" field is a good example in this case. If we assign an individual to a partner, the partner can see it through the portal. But after the conversion to company/contact, the contact is still assigned to the partner but not the company. The partner can then see only the contact...

    No Transfer feature and no Export feature on MX2017 webaccess !
    You decided to stop the windows access before adding all the features to the web access ??

    We have on-premise installation and we use about 10 differents databases for all our subsidiaries.
    With MX Windows Client, we were able to transfer records between our databases. Since we use WebAccess, we don't have this useful feature.

    We are committed to making Maximizer work for both public cloud (CRM LIve) and private cloud (on premise). The only way to make that work is through API’s. We use the API’s ourselves so will continue to evolve them. Please use the dev.connect forum to ask any questions about the API’s if you need more insights to help do the work that you need to do
