An error occurred while saving the comment An error occurred while saving the comment Tim commentedIt's very frustrating either Replacing all records with the search result.
Or alternatively having to change the default from Replace to Append EVERY TIME. Maximizer should remember our last choice or let us set the default, please...Tim shared this idea · -

We recommend pre-pending the old products with “zzz_” to indicate that they are no longer available, so that they are at the end of the list, and so that you can still run reports for products that are no longer sold
An error occurred while saving the comment Tim commentedWith 53 votes it is a pity this has been Declined.
As a Tip for other users we used to put XX at the front of a record or contact but it can make them impossible to find. Now we put the xx at the end of the contact name eg 'Fred, Smithxx' instead. They can then be found in a search, be picked up by the duplicate checker and it is clearly a 'dead' record. Hope this helps.
FYI We have a long term record with 148 Contacts and 50 are 'dead' and cluttering up their record...Tim supported this idea · -

An error occurred while saving the comment Tim commentedI ABSOLUTELY agree. It has been a big frustration being unable to move Opportunities. Consultants contact on budget pricing yet we won't know the Owners identity till a builder contacts us for pricing. The Opp needs to be moved to our end customer for their 20 Year Warranty. We need the ability to export Opportunities (and Customer Service Cases) to a different Address Book Record.

An error occurred while saving the comment Tim commentedIn our Column View for following up Opportunities we use the Last Modified Date field. Not as good as date for last Manual Note as a subsequent group mailout will become the last modified date.
Hope this provides an interim solution. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Tim commentedThis is a significant problem the current Long Date takes up way too much width on the screen/page.
As Alison mentions this was planned back in Aug 2016, is there any news on its release??An error occurred while saving the comment Tim commentedThanks, that's good news.
An error occurred while saving the comment Tim commentedSurely it is a simple job??
We have just migrated to Maximizer Web version and will have to change the column width of ALL of our COLUMN VIEWS!An error occurred while saving the comment Tim commentedSurely it is a simple job.

You can create a custom field (UDF) and then set it to True or False. Then using Advanced Search you can filter whether to show entries based on this custom field (UDF).
An error occurred while saving the comment Tim commentedThis is a regular situation as contacts move on. Ideally we would be able to mark them as inactive then Hide or View them. I have customers with 50 inactive contacts (we add xx to end of surname to identify) and have to scroll through them each time to get to the active contact we need.
This would be a great addition. An error occurred while saving the comment Tim commentedUpon reflection we just need a Hide/Unhide option and have the 'deleted' records greyed out when Un-hidden.
If they are deleted as Paul says their notes get dumped under the company name which means they are un-attributed so largely useless. Also they don't show up in a search, nor in the Duplicate alert. I can hardly think of a situation where I would want to remove them completely. An error occurred while saving the comment Tim commentedThis Suggestion has had significant support, any news on it being added? Tim supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Tim commentedI agree Steve, we were just discussing our frustration at the plethora of dead contacts under large company records.
Currently we add xx to the end of the name (at the front we could never search for the name).
This allows us to follow our contact from job to job but an inactive/hidden flag would be far better. And the sooner the better! -

Not much we can do. It is a 3rd party site.

An error occurred while saving the comment Tim commentedThis is really frustrating. Very large organisations need to narrow the current cases down to those created by a single user but ALL OTHER organisations would be after All Current Cases. This really is needed ASAP.
Tim supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Tim commentedThis has driven me nuts for years, please add ALL CURRENT CASES, it is the Most needed of all!!

An error occurred while saving the comment Tim commentedEither link the docs or alternatively cut or copy docs from one module and paste them to another module? Very frustrating when someone has sent an e-mail from Address Book instead of the actual Opportunity and it can't be moved.

An error occurred while saving the comment Tim commentedYou can do that by clicking into the contact box button (...) then search for the 3rd Party by Last Name or Company. Then click OK to select them. When you save the Cust Serv Case you will find them saved as the Contact.
Not perfect but does the job.Tim supported this idea · -

An error occurred while saving the comment Tim commentedIf we could have more than one 'Friendly Name' field it would solve the problem of Company name changes.
Currently we change the Company name to retain Notes, Opps, Cust Serv cases etc then create a new Dummy record with the original name and in brackets '... see XYZ Company'.Tim supported this idea · -

Please note Maximizer’s professional service team have created integrations with Avaya AES among others so feel free to contact them directly if you have an acute need for this type of integration.
An error occurred while saving the comment Tim commentedThere has been no response from Maximizer since Joseph Hui's note back in Sept 2013. Can we get an update?

An error occurred while saving the comment Tim commentedJoseph Hui, any progress on ability to search just one Note or one Contacts notes or just one record's (Company or Individual) or Opp or Cust Serve Cases notes instead of the entire Database?
An error occurred while saving the comment Tim commentedThanks Joseph but No. The Notes Search does not have the option of 'This Record' or 'This Note' which would solve the problem. The existing (standard Maximizer) search brings up a whole bunch of records matching the criteria which have to be checked through by the user.
An error occurred while saving the comment Tim commentedJoseph, unless I am missing something Search > Notes searches ALL notes. It needs a switch/option to choose 'All Notes' or 'This Note/Record'. I usually know which record I just want to save time tabbing through all the notes. I think you will find this is the same for most user Notepad searches.
An error occurred while saving the comment Tim commentedJoseph,
Usually I know which record to find a note but can't JUST search notes for that record. It does not seem possible to search notes without getting results from all records. This is slow and unnecessary.Tim supported this idea · -

An error occurred while saving the comment Tim commentedGreat idea and necessary if our original contact is a contractor and we don't know end Customer when creating Opp.
Other option is to drag an Opp to a new Company/Individual with the option to Duplicate or Move.
This is the search Dialogue, very minor change but it really should remember the users last preference either replace or in my case Append the search.
