Completed appointments only reflect their completed status in the Today view or when viewing the appointment. The completed status is noted with a line through the appointment. This same status show appear in all views.

There are no visual queues in any of the calendar views (Today, Hotlist, Day View, Week View, Month View) that an appointment is completed. The desktop UI shows a line through the entry. In the mobile app you need to edit the record to see the status. Completed appointments do not appear at all in the Today view.
