Create a native Mobile App for Android and iOS
Although the Mobile website of Maximizer works okay, I would like to see a native app built for Maximizer Mobile. This would stay on your device and could provide offline access to contacts. You could build it a lot like the app that was designed for Blackberry but extend it to Android and iOS platforms.
please add any suggestions for the mobile on this thread

OMG THIS WAS SUGGESTED IN 2013 and only in 2018 this feature is being addressed?? What happens to the suggestions posted in 2018???

Yes please, even if it's only limited access, a dedicated mobile app would be very useful.

From a major user in the service industry, where specifics of what the app does are different to a sales ***** :
Why do I need an app?
In my workflow I travel to remote areas and find that often I am in a very poor internet service area or no service at all to be able to log into the Maxamizer portal.
The other problem I have is updating my information. Whether with the customer or I have just left the job, I find that to log into a website and then find the customer on my calendar and then bring up the details and complete the appointment seems to take too long to do efficiently during the day, so I tend to do it in the evening. It would be much more efficient to be able to do the updating in an open app as soon as I finish the job. What I would like to see in the field service app:
It would be good to be able to login in to the app in the morning and not have to login each time I want to use it.
Once logged in I would like to see my daily calendar on the first screen. After previewing my day I would then drill into the first appointment this would show in the subject field : 3 to 6 lines of text in reasonable size print that is easy to read from a car kit sitting in the car.
I always prefer to have the reason for the visit, customers name, details, address and two or three Key UDFs of information in the subject field.
The reason for this is that the customer address is not always where the job is needed.
The customer address details can be below this so tapping the address it will open a map of where the customer is.
Along with the details would be access to Key UDFs for easy updating of information. An edit button and then a save button. Another button to enter notes.
These could be just the notes the user has put in Maximizer, then if needed can open to all the notes for that customer from all users. So at this stage I need a very basic App that will show my daily calendar, also have access to all future calendar customer details and past customer details for at least a week.
A bonus would be the ability to drag appointments in calendar to change appointment times and days. To add appointments and link with old customers or add new customers would be great.
This App needs to work well on iOS not just ok, as I do have issues with the current Maximizer mobile platform on iOS.
At this stage it’s not necessary to link to accounting programs. But in future it might be a good feature.
I have looked on the Internet for field service applications that use an App for technicians and their are not many. Certainly Maximizer having an App for field service technicians would put them way ahead of their competitors.
To assume their is internet service everywhere is a recipe for disaster.Thank God for integration with Outlook - without this I would be using paper.
Thanks for this wonderful opportunity.
Having a Maxamizer App in my business will make a huge difference to my efficiency and leave me more time to relax at night. -

A native mobile app has many advantages, such as being able to integrate with phone call or the contacts on the device. We are still evaluating this request. We are also thinking about creating a native mobile app for notification. For example, you will be notified if an opportunity is sitting in one stage for too long or a case follow-up deadline has passed.

agree with offline access to contacts

What would be the absolute minimal information you could survive with, if you had this?

I agree. Living in a remote area with often poor internet coverage means very sluggish access to web based portals. A mobile app that integrated with the android or ios native app would be absolutely brilliant. If hand held contact can manage this functionality for a crm as "unreliable" as ACT!, then surely the maximizer team can do the same. Historical records of phone calls and text messages recorded into the CRM database from the mobile device....very handy indeed

I have reviewed the new Summer 2013 edition of Mobile Access and it still lacks the usability and convenience factors. Also we have to keep in mind that not everyone will be operating this application in fast data areas so a native app would be much more effective.
I am still voting for development of native app that store some local data.

I agree... the competitors seem to have this... but I would prefer to stay with Maximizer

I agree with Tim, the more independant the better, and if Blackberry has a similar app, it would
seem the Android and iOS platforms would be the next logical step.
