Link to a local directory not just to a document
We store thousands of image files archived by work order #. We can't include all these in the database and so I think it would be useful to be able to link to a folder that would open in file explorer to show all the images. It would save time to be able to go directly from Max to the folder (local or network). We actually use a cloud product that syncs all computers for this data so as long as the location of the cloud service was the same on all computers, the link would work.

8 years later but I would still love to see this.

We prefer if this worked from the docs tab, but even a method that could run through a UNC path from a formula UDF might help.

For our customers who link documents, the URL \\server\folder\file.doc must execute from the browser in web access. Win access is going away and tons of data is already associated in this manner.

This does kind of exist in the version 12 product of Maximizer with the 'Insert Hyperlink' option in the Documents window.
You can insert a network path into this and when opened from Maximizer it will load Windows Explorer with that location.
There does seem to be an issue with trying this on the web access version of Maximizer due to the hyper link formatting and differences in how web browsers deal with them.
