Automatically clear AddressBook before exiting Maximizer
Clear Addressbook list automatically when closing Maximizer to prevent Maximizer from hanging. This happens with large databases when Maximizer saves the list of current records in the Addressbook. If the list is cleared before the application is closed (preventing Maximizer from saving the current list of records) there is no issue.
Thanks for the reminder Jenny. This status has been updated now.

Again, this issue was resolved in Summer 2012 (defect # 70642)
As it's got a lot of votes against it, why don't you mark this as Completed?
Thanks.

The feature to 'Save settings' does only that. it saves the layout of the local user's workspace. The issue being raised is that Maximizer stores the current list of records in a 'special purpose' hidden Favorites List so that upon re-opening you can choose the option "View list from last Maximzier session".
One way to implement this request could be to see whether the active use has set s default behaviour on the "Choose and Address Book List" screen and if their option is not the 'last list', don't bother saving their current list. Therefore most users could setup Maximizer to open an Empty List and not suffer performance issues.
Of course the View, Filter, Last Session List feature would also have to be greyed for these users.

We have also seen this problem with v12 at 3 customer sites so far.
Apparently this is fixed in v12 SR1 "Summer Release" (defect # 70642)

We tried this solution prior to posting (and have also been in contact with Maximizer support) however, turning off Windows settings does not seem to solve the issue. The problem is saving the current list of records in the AddressBook.
If there was a setting to turn off this Maximizer feature (saving the current list of records in the addressbook) or a setting to clear the list before the application closes; it would solve the problem.

Hi Everyone! Can you try this: Setup > Window > Windows Settings > make sure 'Save Settings on Exit.' is deselected? Thank you!

Please fix this issue!
It really slows down the system for everyone if someone forgets to "clear list", before shutting down. This was not an issue in the previous version. -

Definately, why wouldn't it if it's more efficient to do so : - )

I agree. It never used to do this on the last version and it is a real pain if you forget. Not sure why they changed this. Happens to us all the time.

This would save the main users of maximizer in our office a lot of time, if we forget to clear the list before closing.
