Email Window Integration - Performance Improvements
As a support technician for Maximizer we are constantly getting complaints regarding the effects on performance of Maximizer when users open the Email window in the product.
Quantity of email, visibility of other profiles and more recently and becoming more common, hosted email services are all root causes to the problem.
We have exhausted all configurations to find ways around the issue but to no avail.
This issue does need serious reviewing as it is having a big impact on our users and the success of our solutions.
This version of Maximizer is no longer supported

We have very similar problems at our company (We use CRM Winter 2012 and Outlook 2010). We don't need Max Email to replace Outlook - we just need them to work together. Why can't we save an email in MS Outlook to any contact in Maximizer (not just the email associated with a contact in Max). We should have the option to save it where we want to save it in Max.

Our intent is to continue improvement on the Outlook Toolbar. Maximizer is not in the business of building Email Client software. It just doens't make sense for us to replicate the functionality of Outlook in our software.

To give you an example of how often this comes up, here is an email from one of our customers (a 16 user v11 Enterprise LAN system) about this...
"One of the biggest gripes of our Maximizer users, is the built-in email client. Everyone complains how slow it is. There is a high level of frustration as sales staff are required to save emails to Contacts. They have to use the Maximizer email client, because the Outlook add-In only allows you to save the email to the sender address, which is not useful if the sales person is trying to save something that he himself has sent to a contact.
Most users are on decent specification W7 PCs, using Outlook 2010. I know it probably doesn’t help that some users have enormous mailboxes with multiple folders and thousands of items.
We will be upgrading our Maximizer application, with your assistance, in the not too distant future. Is the Maximizer email client better in the latest version?"

I agree. When I was previously a Solutions Architect, I was often advising clients to keep their Outlook account as small as possible and to avoid using the Email window where at all possible. I would suggest that most Maximizer BPs take the following approach so it is vital that there is a configuration to turn it off, a major improvement exercise and/or continued improvement in the Outlook Maximizer toolbar.

I agree this is a major problem which we are also encountering more and more regularly.
We have found that using the Maximizer LAN client with the Outlook toolbar for Maximizer Web installed allows us to largely ignore the email window in the LAN client.
The Outlook toolbar for Maximizer web is not perfect, but hopefully it will continue to improve.
In this configuration making the mistake of opening the email window will render Maximizer useless until the mail has finished loading. It would be nice to be able to completely disable to LAN email window.
