transfer case
Option to move an existing case to a different address record. Perhaps the "duplicate current case" could request the address record you wish the case to be duplicated against.

We continue to have issues with this. When caught early, it is not horrible. The problem is when you have a case that has a month or more of activity with emails and documents. Recreating it (which is the current fix) is a pain.
If I could up vote this more than three times, I would.

Doh! So you did - sorry Stuart. Yes Marie this is a good idea

Hi John, unfortunately, that is not possible. The contact is with a different company now. As I mentioned, the case file needs to follow the contact, not the company.

Stuart, the latter issue is easily handled with the system already - just edit the case & click into the Contact field in the left-hand column to attach the case to the newly advised contact.

Yes, this is a feature one of our staff is asking for as well. There is a contact of a company that has moved to a different company, and now the case file that was associated with the person (not a company case, but for the person) is not following or associated with them anymore.
Also, we have had instances were a case was created for a municipality as they contacted us, but needs to be moved to a individual after the information is updated and a contact received.
