Thanks to still voting but I think we must face the facts, Maximizer won't implement this feature. Therefore…
Here’s a workaround to display a message forcing your user to enter coherent values for 2 fields.
We have 2 Table UDF we want to link.
Field X:
- A
- B
- C
Field Y:
- A1
- A2
- B1
- B2
- C1
- C21. Create a third “Table” UDF and name it “ERROR: X and Y must match”
2. DO NOT add any value for this field
3. Check “Mandatory based on rule” and add the formula below:
Mid([Field X], 1, 1) != Mid([Field Y], 1, 1)The user won’t be able to save a record if the first letters are different for X and Y because the “ERROR:…” field will become mandatory and will appear in the Key Fields.
The field is mandatory but they cannot fill it because the table is empty ! The only solution is to resolve the problem of mismatch for X and Y.
Done.

It's a very basic feature existing on almost all CRM systems... Except Maximizer...

Use case : We want to classify customers based on their activity segment. We have 2 fields "Sector" and "Sub-sector". Example:
Sector :
- A-Medical
- B-Energy
- C-Military
- D-....Sub-sector :
- A1-Imaging systems
- A2-Patient Monitoring system
- A3-Lab equipment
- A4-...
- B1-Nuclear power
- B2-Solar power
- B3-Wind power
- B4-...
- C1-Satellite communication system
- C2-...The 2 fields need to be multi-selection.

Could you share some real-life use case examples for this requirements?

Hi Jin Yu,
It can be a very powerful tool if you managed to filter values based on multiple selection !
It means that if you select A and B on field 1, field 2 will display A1, A2, A3, B1, B2 and B3. And this second field can also be multi-selection.
I'm sure you will find a user-friendly design for the setup page. -

We will consider this feature in future release. Should this be considered for single selection drop-down list only? How about a list that allows multiple selection (e.g. a table user-defined field)? The UI design can be challenging to setup the relationship for all the lists.

@Serdar, a potential work around could be the following (depending on what your needs are):
1. Create Field 1 as below
Field 1(Table):
-A
-B
-C
-D2. Create a separate Field (Table) for each sub category. eg. Field 2 would be a table field with A1, A2, A3. Field 3 would be a table field with B1,B2, B3, etc. as needed.
3. Designate all fields (Table) for each sub category as mandatory based on a rule such as:
[Field 1] == A
This will then highlight and force the user to enter a value into the appropriate sub category field and assist with some data integrity issues that arise from having too many options/conflicting entry options in a table field. By using the 'Hide Blank Fields' option in the Details tab, you can hide the extra blank fields, making this work around a little cleaner visually
