  1. Option to restrict users from free-typing into basic fields with drop-down lists (such as Position or Opportunity Objective)

    Currently, users can free-type into any basic fields that have a drop-down list (such as "Position" or Opportunity "Objective") even when they don't have the Access Right "Modify System Tables" which enables them to add items to the drop-down list.

    One of our biggest customers needs to be able to restrict this so that the users can only select from the list, not free-type into these fields.

  3. Make colouring rules more flexible

    Currently you can only add one UDF or category to a colouring rule. We need to be able to add others so that it is an either/or. For example, we have a deceased category - we don't send mail to them. And we have a list of others that do not want to be contacted (Do not solicit by). We can add only one or the other but not both. So only one can be turned on at a time. This means we have to rememer to check off all the 'do not solicit by' choices in order for the…

  5. Pin the Maximizer shortcut to the Windows 7 taskbar properly

    If you pin the Maximizer shortcut to the Windows 7 taskbar, it adds the icon correctly, but when you open Maximizer, it puts another icon to the right instead of putting a border round the existing icon, which is the correct way to display open programs in Windows 7.

    Steps to reproduce:
    Right-click the shortcut for Maximizer (MaxWin.exe) and select "Pin to Taskbar"
    Click on the Maximizer icon on the taskbar to launch Maximizer.
    Another icon appears to the right.
    Pin any other program (eg: Microsoft Word) to the taskbar and launch it.

  6. I would like to be able to customize the colour in Maximizer

    I would like to have more options for the colour used in Maximizer. The Green is too much, would like more neutral colour options... I honestly preferred the white blank background over the new green one.

  7. Numeric UDF does not pass comma separator for 'thousands'

    When a user defined field of numeric type is presented in the interface, we have comma separators for thousands as such:

    1,000,000

    When the same field is merged to Word or to a Maximizer email, the commas are gone as such:

    1000000

    This looks bad in the merge and is not as useful as it could be. We'd like an option to maintain the comma separators.

  8. Quick Launch Bar Icons need to be more distinctive

    I have added several shortcuts to the quicklaunch bar. For example search by ID, or search by first name. Unfortunately they are all added with the same icon - a green circle so there is no way to remember one from the other. Please make the icons unique to every command and add an information bubble and/or text.

  9. Expand Notes Reading Bar & Save as Default Setting

    I would like to expand the notes reading bar and save it as my default for whenever I view any notes. You can expand it but it doesn't save that change. And when you do expand it the notes just run off to the right and disappear rather than carry on below in the white space.

    Would be excellent to setup that Notes screen to have expanding reading space and have the words fill into that space.

    Drag & Drop sections of the application, easier to use menus to customize without having to modify the code.

  11. User Defined Fields

    Would be great if we could have the ability to set a default settings where the UDF's that are filled in show up and the tree is expanded always. Save this as my personal profile view or something? Lots of things within Max could use this type of thing. The ability to save your view of things moving forward so you don't have to always open things up every time.

  12. Customisable Ribbon

    There are so many features within Maximizer that some people just don't use. It would be useful to be able to turn off options on the ribbon as users often get blinded by the plethora of options.

  13. Allow Replace or Append as default Address Book Search setting.

    Maximizer returns to the default Address Book Search setting (Replace current list) on startup.

    After my first search it retains my choice but returns to the default next time it starts up.
    It should allow me to either select my preferred default (Append) or pick up the preferance from my last use of Maximizer.

  14. Maximizer Category Manager

    Set up the process to manage categories like the access rights. It currently is to many steps. Also add the ability to add directly into the drop down list as you are working.

  15. Choices with date format, to reduce column width in view.

    A full date makes a column VERY wide. We use Maximizer for our sales meetings and like to fit many columns into one view. Long dates make it much harder to fit multiple columns in one view. Suggest three formats: Current long form, January 25, 2016, Total short form 1/25/2016 and condensed 26-Jan-2016.

  16. Create coloured tabs to identify whether or not there are Customer Service cases.

    In the old desktop version the icons were lighted if there was a customer service case (this was still very hard to see). If it could be coloured were there a case, then it would be helpful. This could be done for any of the tabs, if there is a note, document, activity then the tab colours.

  17. Tools > Macro buttons still appear, despite the fact they don't work on most operating systems

    I notice the buttons for Macros on the Tools tab are still there in v12, despite the fact they don't work on Windows Vista/7 or Server 2008. Macros are supposed to still work on Windows XP and Server 2003, but as these are old versions of Windows that will soon cease to be supported by Microsoft, isn't it about time you removed this functionality/buttons altogether?

    Steps to replicate:
    Go to Tools > Record Macro.
    If Windows Vista/7 or Server 2008 it says "This functionality is not available in the current configuration" - this is ok, but it would be better…

  18. Each Contact to have unique billing, shipping, and contact addresses, all printible to a label

    Each Contact in a Company should have the option for an address for a OFFICE LOCATION Address, BILLING Address, Shipping Address, and that sequence should be repeatable / printable to an envelope, or label through Word Integration - and the sequence detectable so when I want to print 1000 labels for billing addresses for each contact at a company, I can do so and it will grab the right address. Similarly if I ever want to send a CONTACT who works from home a package (not the company, but the contact) I have to print labels by exporting the list…

  20. please put back the ability to print shipping labels. it was in previous (pre-Word) versions but now requires manual setup for every label.

    old versions of Maximizer (pre-word) allowed for printing shipping labels (#5164) with the client address in the correct place. now we must manually position it each time. big time waster and a definite regression.
