  1. Show address book history under an opportunity record

    From web access I would like to be able to see my address book history while viewing an opportunity. This could be additional filter options in the history tab itself or a separate address book history tab that follows the opportunity. The windows client presented three tabs and facilitated seeing the address book notes while you were on an opportunity. From web access we have more navigation to do the same thing.

    • The new rules arounf mandatory fields are great. Why not have similar funtionality at the opportunity level?

      At present you only have always mandatory or never manadatory udfs at the opportunity level - lets have the rules like in the address book!

      • Assign More Than One Contact to an Opportunity

        It should be possible to assign more than one contact to a Sales Opportunity and quickly view all of these "buy-side stakeholders" on a single screen.

        This functionality pretty much already exists for Partners and Competitors on a given Opportunity. Why not Customers?

          Suggestion to Improve Confidence Rating use.

          The program should be rewritten as follows:

          Each Confidence rating should have a probability attached to it, just like the stages. The logic would be as follows:

          1. Set a probability rating for each stage.
          2. Set a probability for each Confidence rating.
          3. If the Confidence probability = the Stage probability, use the Stage probability.
          4. If the Confidence probability is less than or greater than the Stage probability, use the Confidence probability.

            We would like to see an Date Last Contacted on the opportunity. It should be updated based on selected note or document activity on the opp itself. It would be better still if the feature monitored changes at the address book and cascaded an update one or both ways (user option). So, if I meet with the client and make a note in the address book or the opp, the address book and opp 'Last Contacted' would update.             • Ability to enter an Opportunity Strategy in Web View

              We have just moved over to web view and have found it is not possible to add or alter a strategy using the web admin section. I have to log on to the server and it would be more convenient to be able to edit in the web admin section.

              • Opportunity Related Entries = Easy Roles

                Add "Easy Roles" for opportunities, i.e. allow multiple address book entries to be related to an opportunity, with a relationship description, and the reverse relationship added automatically. The difference from roles-only strategies is that Easy Roles will not have the additional constraints on their use that strategies have. Similar to Address Book only related entries.

                • Make it possible to change the parent Company/Individual for an existing Opportunity.

                  Many times it is necessary to reassign an existing opportunity to an entirely new company, and not just to a new contact within the same company. Currently the only way to do this is to delete and recreate the Opportunity from scratch, but that is extremely inconvenient. This would be a wonderful and EXTREMELY useful modification.

                    Just as you get the option to "View list from last Maximizer session/View Favourite List/View Saved Search" when you open the Address Book window - when you open the Opportunities window, it should give you the option to view the Opportunities you were working on last, or retrieve a custom Favourite List/Saved Search (eg: MY Current Opportunities) rather than defaulting back to the "Current/All Opportunities" filter each time?

                    • Opportunity Reassignment and Opportunities without a Company Assigned

                      In certain industries you do not know who the end customer for your opportunity is until the deal closes (i.e the quote may be to a sub contractor) In these cases it is desirable to be able to reassign the company that the opportunity is linked to, effectivley moving the opportunity from the sub contractor to the enduser/client where the goods /services will be delivered.

                      Ideally in the same industries it would also be a great benefit if you could have opportunities no customer (which could be assigned later). I think having a linked partner would be recommended.

                      • Duplicate or Clone Recurring Opportunities

                        As other users have already suggested, it would help to have the ability to duplicate or clone an existing opportunity via the Web interface.

                        Going beyond this is the ability to forecast/schedule recurring revenue via opportunities that have more than one delivery date (ie: blank PO), say ever month, quarter, etc. Ideally this would be a single opportunity, but could start out as a series of auto generated opportunities.

                          There is no option to add the contact e-mail into opportunities.
                          You can add the company e-mail however when following up opportunities and exporting information for various functions, it would be handy to have this option as surely most people want to contact the actual contact assigned rather than the main company e-mail.

                          This is imperative to our business.

                          • Add the "Related entries" feature to Opportunities

                            Copy the "related entries" feature from Address Book to Opportunities.
                            Even if the Companies are different, sometimes we know that 2 opportunities are linked and the success of the first one can help the second one to be also successfull. A related entries tab can help to save this kind of information.

                              There is a need for many customers to manage delivery after a deal is won. This could either be achieved with new opportunity status values (minimal dev work) or by the option of creating a new "Project" entity from an opportunity (best solution but most work).

                                • Different set of stages based on Sales Team

                                  Maximizer is commonly implemented across divisions of the same company. Each division's sales process are different and the set of stages is different from division to division. It would be nice to have the set of stages change, when certain sales teams are selected. This way, we're not trying to force all the various departments into one general sales model.

                                    • Change Opportunity Window back to have a drop-down for Column Setup

                                      A customer complained when upgrading to v12 that the Opportunities window has been changed to have a "Filter" drop-down instead of the Column Setup drop-down, as now he has to click the "Column Setup" button and select the column view he wants, and he can't easily see which column view he is on.

                                      • User Friendly Auto Sequenced Reference Numbers

                                        Quite often I'm asked to provide user friendly sequence id numbers for opportunities (like case numbers) that can be used on project files and other business systems. Since Maximizer can do this for cases I think it should also be an option for Opportunities. Nobody really wants to work with the long ID. Probably this should be available on Addressbook records (and Campaigns, and maybe other record types) too. There are procedural and other ways around this. However, I'm inclined to agree with my latest client who felt this should be an 'out of the box' feature.

                                        • Search Stage Age

                                          It is helpful to be able to present current stage age and the age of each stage of a sales process in column views but it is frustrating that we can't perform searches on the stage age (current or within each stage historically). If we could make searches in Advanced Search we could make useful dashboards about how many opps spend a month or a week in a certain stage.
