  1. Duplicate an Opportunity to a different Household/Company

    For example, I create an Opportunity for John Smith in the John Smith Household. I would like to be able to duplicate that Opportunity but assign it to someone in a different Household (Jane Doe in the Jane Doe Household) complete with all the Notes/Files. One instance when this would have been handy is when two brothers (different Households) were involved in the same land deal. The Opportunity, Notes and Files were exactly the same - the only difference was the Household. Thanks!

      Sales Team names are not sorting alphabetically in various drop down lists in the program.

      • Change when Stage Bar Buttons are pressed

        The new Opportunity page shows the stages just above the Opportunity details. When one of these stages is double clicked, the Opportunity opens for editing. It would be nice to be able to double click the new stage and have a pop up which confirms that you want to change the stage. Then only the stage is updated without actually having to edit it and save. This pop up could actually ask whether to update the stage or edit the opp, so you could then do whatever you want from there.

        • Opportunity Team Member list ordering

          It appears that when searching on Opportunity Leader or reassigning an Opportunity leader the list of names is actually in alphabetical order of User ID and not display name - this is rather annoying and not really logical. Can this be fixed please?

          • Abandoning opportunities

            Provide prompts to accommodate outstanding activities when changing the status of an opportunity. For example, if you have a dozen tasks assigned to an opp that is abandoned after 6 of the tasks are completed the remaining tasks are still active even after the opp is marked as abandoned.

            • Show address book history under an opportunity record

              From web access I would like to be able to see my address book history while viewing an opportunity. This could be additional filter options in the history tab itself or a separate address book history tab that follows the opportunity. The windows client presented three tabs and facilitated seeing the address book notes while you were on an opportunity. From web access we have more navigation to do the same thing.

                • Allow the "Sales Team" field in opportunities be made "Mandatory"

                  If you don't fill this field out, it restrict some users from seeing the opportunity. Simple fix, is allow it to be a mandatory field so that a user must fill the field in or it can't be saved.

                  • Opportunties email notifications should include City and State

                    It's seems pretty basic that the City and State should be included in email notifications from Opportunities. We have several customers with the same name so distinguishing them by City and State is critical.

                      The ability to retrieve and display a record in the Address Book, by clicking on a contact assigned in the 'partner field' in an opportunity; saves admin time, increases visibility and productivity.

                        In formulas the basic opportunity field named [Last Modified Date] is incorrect it is not the last modified date it is the forecasted close date

                        • Assign More Than One Contact to an Opportunity

                          It should be possible to assign more than one contact to a Sales Opportunity and quickly view all of these "buy-side stakeholders" on a single screen.

                          This functionality pretty much already exists for Partners and Competitors on a given Opportunity. Why not Customers?

                                Ability to choose any of the opportunity fields as the default email subject line for monitoring. "Opportunity 150622251427201590198O has had a Note Created" is a little meaningless as a subject line, when you have many opportunities to monitor. They all look the same in my inbox.

                                  MARGIN! The cost field in Maximizer is another muddled field that is schizophrenic depending on use of a strategy. We need a real cost of goods sold (as opposed to cost of sale) and an automatic margin field(both Multi currency) as well as total revenue.

                                    In certain industries, forecasting has a particularly difficult element to model which arises from the way in which revenue will be derived after the order is taken. While it may be satisfactory. At one level to forecast a deal of £12,000. If that revenue will only be realised at a rate of £500 per month for the next two years. What companies really wish to achieve some kind of revenue forecast that is capable of reflecting this. This is a common requirement in the telecoms market.

                                      Teams are a valuable if often abused and misunderstood part of opportunity management. I have often been thankful for the facility of dynamic teams. The biggest problem with teams is not teams, but the inability to stop people creating single user opportunities. While the use of default records can largely overcome this. I think the facility to ban single user opportunities system wide could be a useful security permission.

                                      • Make the Forecasted Revenue and Actual Revenue available in formulae

                                        At the moment there is only the "Revenue" field, but this field is of variable meaning, for opportunities in progress it contains the Forecasted Revenue and for opportunities won it contains the Actual Revenue. For example at present it is not possible to have a field meaningfully named "Forecasted Margin %" because after an opportunity is won this field will contain the actual margin %.

                                        • improved search logic when using addressbook udfs to search opportunities

                                          The manner in which Addressbook UDFs are searched when searching opportunities is confusing to users and tends to give results that 'look' wrong.

                                          When an opportunity advanced search executes if you search an Addressbook field the search looks at the contact Addressbook record when a contact is linked to the opportunity and the company Addressbook record when there is no contact. Searching opportunities and specifying a company UDF therefore produces an apparently random result as only the records with no contact are returned.

                                          I'm not sure what the improvement required here should be but something better or at least much…
